Laughing All The WAY!

There were obviously comedians with their tattered books that resembled bibles.  All three were nestled in the back of the cafe preparing for their on stage night of comedy.  I suggest I might be funny while I waited in line for the bathroom.  No one laughed at my words but I could tell they wished  it would be my turn for the restroom  sooner than later.   I was certain a woman was in there because it was taking FOREVER.  Really what takes so long to tinkle????  A man exited and so I said, "Only a woman takes that long, what were you doing?"  He said, "That's personal and I can't tell you!"  Wow, I quickly zipped my jaw and took my turn.  When I was leaving the three Comedians still sat on the couches reading over their notes and thinking intently scamming the pages of there books... I was surprised to learn  that there was so much  note taking and writing  involved with preparation for on stage Comedy.  I could not stay for the show, but will be back next week to listen, laugh and wait in line for the bathroom!  Thank you 3 men in back for sharing your dry, couch sitting, tattered and torn page secrets and humor... peace ~love

I love Clippers

I was at my Dad's house working last weekend helping out in the yard, trimming, pruning and raking.  This bushy shrub with long prickly vines grew out of control in an area that was overcrowded with other shrubs so I was asked to trim it back all the way or dig it up.  I was handed a pair of clippers that were small and dull so I asked if there were others around with longer blades.  He directed me the garage where I found a 55 year old  black pair of clippers weighing 25 lbs.  I carried them to the bush and began clipping away.  The comment I heard was, "Those clippers are useless, dull and don't work."  I continued clipping away and soon the shrub was level with the ground.  My Dad said, "Well , look there, you did  IT even with those ancient clippers, but then again only you could of done that thanks to all the years of clipping practice you have been blessed with."  I laughed and  suddenly remembered the countless times of trimming grass from under the fences in the pasture as a consequence for behavior as a child.  This was my Dad's way of redirecting me when I was young.  Behaviors that led to clipping:  if I said- guy, no, why,  rolled my eyes,  argued or  quarreled with my brother. For any of these infractions I clipped, clipped, clipped... He reminded me I clipped the grass frequently.  As I recall the clippers were old, and the kind that are hand held, heavy with long blades.  My job was to clip the grass from under the fence which was never an easy task even though it was clipped frequently.  Finding gratitude for clippers, grass and evolution.  Today I am letting the grass grow...

Mermaid Lotus

The morning began in a usual way, with breath, stretching and coffee.  Routine and simple   was made naturally with the parting of all obstacles.  I found my self sitting at  my  office desk and swimming in thoughts of want.  Within seconds I  heard a car and stood to look out the window.  As I walked out to greet them I wandered what brought them to this part of town and  diverting me from my thoughts I was handed  a cup of hot jasmine organic tea and a vegan, super-yummy scone.  We chatted about the beauty of life, miracles and the over abundance of opportunity  that we each choose to see more clearly.  So grateful for this gift.  Thank you friends and thank you self for allowing...What a splendid morning- so delicious!

Goddess Ostara

Old High German - Goddess Ostara
Symbols - Hare, Egg, Feather
Aspects - Renewal, New Beginnings, Rebirth
Old English - Eostre
New Age Christianity/Jewish  - Easter/Passover
Long ago, the Germanic goddess, Ostara, was honored in the month of April each year with festivals honoring re-birth and renewal. Today we recognize the festival as "Easter". The name Easter evolved from the Goddess's name, Ostara, which means "movement towards the rising sun" or "East". Ostara is the living symbol for air and the life force of spring. East is representative of the element of air and our mental powers. Air is about new beginnings and allowing your spirit to soar. Ostara is still one of the most powerful Goddesses today. So much so that she has made herself right at home within Christianity and modern medicine, and egg decorating is still a fine art in Germany!
Ostara is Goddess of joy, new beginnings and fertility. That is where Easter Eggs and  Bunnies (rabbits/hares) come in. Eggs are a symbol for fertility and the hare(Ostara's power animal) has a rather well known propensity for reproducing. Ostara presides over  personal renewal and fertility gain.

we trotted along the trial
alone and in silence
the wet grass

moles
and
oaks
moved together with grace
a trail made by dear cut a path
we fell into single file
he suggested we take our shoes off
SO WE SAVE THE ARCHES OF OUR FEET i bleeped
no
he barked so we save the grass upon which we
walk.................
i lightened my step
his insight stripped the soles from beneath my feet
i prance  barefoot now
now  now now now now now now now now now now now now

Fabulous

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of earth. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of the earth that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Time

I was walking with the creature today and I heard a woman say, "Did you notice there  is no time for anything."  This vibration caught my attention  and I made note to notice how much time I have to do everything.  Later this same day I heard a woman say, "Today my husband and I had breakfast together, cleaned the house, did laundry, walked the dogs, went to Home Depot, Sears, Galleria, REI, Safeway, the Nursery, went to church for the evening service, made dinner and now here we are at this amazing place enjoying this peaceful music."  Time is a perception, either not enough or too much.  The fact is that we have it..... And that we have an abundance of it.... Time- here and now- Much time for making peace, being peace, living peace.......
